Terms & Conditions

It is the responsibility of the owner of the computer to ensure that they have a recent back-up of all critical data on their machine. While Fix My Mac will make every effort to ensure that no data is lost, we cannot be held responsible for the loss of your data due to circumstances out with our control.

Should your hard drive display symptoms of failure, you will be made aware of this prior to work beginning. Your agreement to proceed will be taken as an indication that you understand the risks involved. It is entirely possible that your hardware could fail while your system is being worked on, or during the Apple Hardware Test that is run after any work is carried out inside your Mac. It is your responsibility to make it clear (preferably in writing via e-mail) exactly what, if anything, is to be backed up prior to work commencing. Backed up data will be securely retained for a period of 30 days beginning from the date your Mac is returned to you. After a period of 30 days, or sooner at your written request, the data will be securely deleted and lost forever.

Fix My Mac will not be held responsible for any data lost should you ask us to proceed with work on a system that you have been made aware of the fact that it displays symptoms of hardware failure.

All instructions provided to Fix My Mac via e-mail will be taken as an indication that you understand any risks involved. You will be informed of any risks prior to work commencing.

All instructions provided to Fix My Mac to purchase equipment on your behalf via e-mail are binding and imply your intention to pay for them within a period of no more than 30 days from when your device is returned to you, or if you subsequently decide not to proceed, whichever occurs first. Exceptional circumstances will always be considered and you should inform Fix My Mac at the earliest possible time should you envisage a delay of more than 30 days. The right to charge interest on late payments and compensation for debt-recovery costs is reserved.

Every effort will be made to ensure that you receive a level of service that is unmatched. If you are unhappy with any aspect of this please make your feelings known as soon as possible.

Any matter that results in legal action will be handled under Scottish Law.

If you have any questions regarding any of these points please contact us for help.
